CASE STUDY: FORT WORTH LAP-BAND
Fort Worth Lap-Band has a prominent online presence, and has been successful at generating patient flow through its informational seminars. However, the challenge was getting people who visited the website to register for and attend a seminar. To establish a strong connection with prospective patients and create a foundation of trust, head surgeon Dr. Adam Smith wanted to create a series of brief informational videos that would be available on demand to viewers browsing their site.
GlobalWebHQ created storyboards for a total of 11 videos, each 1-3 minutes long. All of the videos were taped in our production studio in one day, enabling the client to schedule staff members at different times and avoid any disruption to the daily operation of the practice. We captured still photos and supplemental video footage separately at the client’s office, and then added lower-thirds, graphical intros and outros, and a music underlay to provide a richer viewing experience.

The series also included profiles of each of the three physician partners talking directly to the viewer about his education, skills and experience. These clips act as a personal introduction to each doctor, turning them from mere names into real people in the eyes of the potential patient.
Additional videos provided information and guidance for prospective patients, covering topics such as “How the Lap-Band Works” and “Post-operative Care and Support”. These segments aim to further put prospective patients at ease about their procedure, and ensure them that they will receive continued, top-quality care throughout their weight loss journey.
